"My work has to do with paradoxes we all face in life, such as having two feelings at once and finding a way to live with the opposites. I work in layers that tell a story. Each layer gives a history of the story. I add layers and then subtract some of them and add new layers.

I worked as a psychiatric nurse practitioner for many years and listened to many stories all dealt with a persons history being uncovered as remembered in the present ..You can’t understand the present without acknowledging how the memories of the past effect it.

I work in multimedia, often combining several media in the same piece. I always work in layers. I also love experimenting with new ways of working and trying new media to see how it will work enhance my work. I never stop learning.

My work is abstract and intuitive. I start out without a preconceived idea and let the work  develop itself and tell its own story. 

Stories are so important, stories help us move forward without loosing our history even if the story is a paradox. This is the message I hope to convey in my work."
